Clique Unwrapped: Clique Glasgow's Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide

Welcome!

'Tis the season to spread joy, and what better way to do it than by supporting our local Scottish creatives? In our first blog post, Clique Glasgow is thrilled to present Clique Unwrapped: The Ultimate Local Christmas Gift Guide, filled with handcrafted treasures from our talented community. Let's make this holiday season truly special by embracing the spirit of giving and celebrating the uniqueness of our local makers.

BUT WHY?

When you buy from a local small business, you’re not just buying a unique item - you’re helping to build a community. You are directly investing in your local creative economy. Artists, makers & small business owners alike know how much it means to get that Order Received notification: it’s validation, how we support ourselves financially and it’s an emotional victory. Not to mention it’s a boost of energy to keep creating, making, selling and pushing our passions to new heights.

With these local gifts, sustainability isn't an afterthought - with each of these you can find out the entire history of the product and know it’s been made with care and consideration for all of the humans involved in the process. You might even be giving new life to an item that would have otherwise been headed straight for landfill.

The Clique Christmas List

Dear Santa,

We have been very good this year (MAYBE a little naughty), and we would love our presents to be from local Scottish businesses.

Here is our Christmas List:

Raised By Danger

Saint Danger, the creative alter ego of Saija Cleary in the real world, is a Finnish-American artist and designer with a unique journey spanning continents. Born in the vibrant '90s, she absorbed the eclectic energy of Tokyo during her formative years. A self-taught artisan, Saija has traversed 13 cities across 4 continents, creating a tapestry of experiences before finally anchoring herself in Glasgow, Scotland. Her art, drawing from the wonders of the natural world and her vivid imagination, reflects a deep-rooted fascination with flora and fauna. Transcending traditional boundaries, Saija infuses the ordinary with the extraordinary by incorporating her original motifs into meticulously crafted, made-to-order garments and captivating accessories. Raised By Danger, her brainchild, offers a curated selection of her enchanting creations, available for purchase on their website or at the brick-and-mortar haven nestled in Hidden Lane, Glasgow (open Wed-Sat). Step into the realm of Saija's imagination and wear a piece of her fantastical world.
